Electrical Services for Castle Pines, on Both Sides of I-25

If you still think of this community as Castle Pines North, you are not alone. The city incorporated under that name in 2008, and voters shortened it to Castle Pines in 2010. Since then, the city has been growing in two distinct directions: the established neighborhoods west of I-25, and The Canyons, a master-planned community of about 3,400 acres on the east side. Allstar Electrical Services, a Denver contractor since 2000, works in both, and the two halves of the city call for different kinds of electrical work.

West of the Interstate: Established Homes

The older neighborhoods on the west side have mature landscaping, finished and unfinished basements, and homeowners who have lived there long enough to start on second-round remodels. Typical projects here include:

  • Panel and service upgrades for kitchen remodels and added air conditioning
  • Basement finish wiring and recessed lighting
  • LED retrofits and landscape lighting for patios and backyards
  • Hot tub circuits
  • Corrections from a pre-sale home inspection

East of the Interstate: The Canyons

The Canyons, reached from the Castle Pines Parkway exit, is still being built out, and more than half of the project is planned as parks and open space. New-construction homeowners usually call us after closing for upgrades the builder did not include: a Level 2 EV charger, additional garage circuits, a hot tub pad, smart lighting, or a fully wired basement. Getting the circuit layout right early saves cutting into new drywall later.

Two Utilities Inside One City

In Castle Pines, the electric service provider can depend on the street. According to the city, residents are served by either CORE Electric Cooperative or Xcel Energy depending on location, and the Hidden Pointe neighborhood is on Xcel. We confirm your utility before planning a service upgrade or generator installation, since meter work and disconnects must be scheduled with the correct provider.

Permits are issued by the City of Castle Pines Building Department, which took over building permits and inspections from Douglas County in 2008. Required inspections are performed by city staff.

We also serve nearby Castle Rock, Lone Tree and Highlands Ranch.
