Allstar Electrical of Stapleton marks 12th anniversary as a bellwether of an improving local economy

Founded in May, 2000, the electrical contractor views planned business development at Stapleton making the former airport a true regional city center

DENVER, CO – Allstar Electrical Services LLC, a full-service commercial, industrial and residential electric services contractor headquartered in Stapleton, celebrated its 12th anniversary in business May 8th with a rousing endorsement of an improving regional economy and a sense of excitement for the “New Tech Center” prediction as the former Denver airport property gets a commercial development shot in the arm.

Gary Stone, a master electrician for 30 years and founder of Allstar Electrical, calls his firm’s anniversary a milestone in perseverance and a bellwether of an improving economy.

“We’ve bounced back, gotten through the tough times doing all the things we should be doing, and our calls this year for both commercial and residential electrical service are a clear sign that Denver and Colorado are back in business,” he says.

Stone says the most exciting news for the region is the recently announced push for a “New Tech Center” over 300 developable acres on the Stapleton property now that transportation access over I-70 connecting land on the south side of the interstate with the Northfield area has been completed. Stapleton master developer Forest City Stapleton announced in early May that it is planning a large business development with as much as 10 million square feet of commercial space, including office buildings and at least one hotel development.

What really puts the business spotlight on Stapleton, notes Stone, was the completion of the I-70/Central Park Boulevard interchange, finished last fall, and the linking of Central Park Boulevard south into Stapleton, which opened on May 7. Also, he added, the addition of the FasTracks East rail line, running from Denver Union Station to DIA, will include a station at Central Park Boulevard when completed in 2016, and that will boost the development’s premier business location cache.

“Stapleton is already a great neighborhood with more than 4,500 homes, seven schools and tons of retail and restaurants,” says Stone. “The commercial development Forest City envisions and its proximity to the airport will make the area a true regional city center.”

While a full-service electrical contractor, Allstar Electrical takes particular pride in is commercial and industrial electrical services expertise. Working with commercial property owners, developers and facility managers, Stone and his staff specialize in providing turn-key electrical solutions for new buildings and retrofitting the electrical service in existing properties with any eye toward maximum energy savings and the latest in “green” electrical technology.

“Commercial facility managers price out every aspect of a property’s operations costs, and they have come to realize just how important a role the electrical and lighting systems play in energy efficiency and lowering costs,” says Stone. “We love to provide that expertise to our clients and we work diligently to stay on the cutting-edge of modern electrical services.”

Stone, a native of Maine, first came to Colorado “on a two-week ski vacation” while serving in the U.S. Navy in the mid-1970s, and decided to make this home following his discharge in 1977. After serving an apprenticeship and becoming a licensed Master Electrician in 1982, Stone worked for years at area electrical contracting companies before deciding to strike out on his own in 2000.

“My goal right from the start was to build an environment of peerless professionalism in my trade with an emphasis on exceptional customer service,” says Stone. “All of our repeat customers are testament to achieving that, and I’m very proud to celebrate a 12th anniversary in business.”

Allstar Electrical Services, with a team of 17 people in the office and in the field, has won many awards over the years for meritorious service from such august organizations as the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Independent Electrical Contractors and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Stone and his staff have broad experience in everything from managing multi-million dollar projects to making house calls for simple switch repairs.
