Westminster

Newcomers sometimes have a hard time with the name of Westminster – West Minister is often heard – but Allstar Electrical Services knows the city well and is pleased to count it among our most valuable services areas.

Westminster, CO traces its roots to the very formation of Colorado when, in 1870, Pleasant DeSpain built a home and business on what is now West 76th Ave. and Lowell St. and called his enterprise DeSpain Junction. After that, owing to other powerful local kand owners, the area was called Harris and Darell Park, but it became known as Westminster when the famous Westminster Castle was built in the 1890s to be the home of Westminster University, the “Princeton of the West,” by New Yorker Henry Mayham as a Presbyterian college. The college folded in 1917, but the Castle lives on, now owned by the Pillar of Fire Church, as a chief historical landmark in Colorado.

Westminster, with a population in the 2010 US Census of more than 106,000 people, is the 7th largest community in Colorado and we at Allstar Electrical Services value our many customers and new customers for top-notch electrical services for both homes and businesses.
